About Athens Pho

Athens Pho is one of the vietnamese & pho listed in Athens, Georgia. The business is registered at 1860 S Barnett Shoals Rd Ste 501, Athens, GA 30605; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as vietnamese restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Athens, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Georgia run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (706) 850-0153. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is athensphoga.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 263 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded vietnamese & pho in Athens.

Athens is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Athens is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

First time customer hereπŸ‘‹ Service: 5/5 excellent. Atmosphere: 5/5 Price: $20-30 per person. Food: my pho medium size (combination) was 2.5/5. β€’ Medium size was pretty big and generous (it’s the priciest pho I’ve never had tbh). β€’ Bc it was more of a soup that didn’t need chopsticks but a spoon. Flabbergasted at how its noodles came out cut so short. β€’ Broth is mid. β€’ Thai basil were turned black and had bug eaten holes. Conclusion: price and taste for basic pho for pho restaurants, not worth it.. U can go if you don’t know how to use chopsticks.

Came here with my husband yesterday for my birthday because I was craving good Viet food and was not disappointed at all! Everyone who said this place was great is correct. The portions are great and we both brought home leftovers. I ordered the pho dac biet (house special pho) and he got the grilled beef Korean short rib, we both got cafe sua da (Saigon coffee) and shared the the grilled pork spring rolls. Everything was so flavorful and brought out so quickly! The decor is very cute and atmosphere was chill. We will definitely be coming back again and again to try the rest of the menu especially since this saves us a couple hours of driving to Duluth or Buford hwy for quality Viet food.

The grilled pork banh mi is awesome, however the pho would be very nice if more bean sprouts and veggies are provided. The spring rolls are nice too. But the dipping sauce does not taste right. Adding some fish sauce would be nice! Anyhow we ended up taking out one more Banh Mi and two milk tea drinks to go! They don’t even know how to put them together in a bag……..

We will definitely visit Athens Pho again. The restaurant offers a nice selection of traditional Vietnamese dishes. The pho soup is phenomenal, while the service, the atmosphere, and the prices are also great.

I came by twice in a week. The first visit was amazing!! I had the filet mignon pho and an order of crab rangoon and fried beef dumplings. Phenomenal! The service was good, everything was nice. Brought a friend last night after raving about the service and food, and sadly, did not have a similar experience. The pho was warm, not very hot, and I ordered the chicken pho, which came with huge pieces of skin and cartilage and bones in the pho. It was gross. I chewed on some gristly fat and then the nice next bite was a piece of dark meat, wrapped around a decent sized bone that cracked between my teeth. Not good. Otherwise, service was very average this time, and the fried dumplings were very greasy this time. I was excited to return and bring a friend, but we were both disappointed and will not be back for a while. I love Mother Pho, and will just go there. πŸ˜•
